News from the knitting front

So not only can I do the knit stitch, but I can also do the purl stitch now. Put 'em together, and we have the garter stitch. I.e., something that looks like actual knitting instead of ghetto yarn chainmail. I feel strangely vindicated. But whoever told me that knitting is relaxing was lying...lying through their lying teeth.

gut them, gut them with a knitting needle, it'll take awhile but it'll be more than worth it to see the face they make when staring at a garter stitch made from their own intestines.

Yeah, that's the confusing thing, actually. "Here are two smooth pointy sticks and some yarn. No, no, it's relaxing." And when I get angered from messing up....they already gave me POINTY STICKS!

It's not so much relaxing as it is hypnotizing...that is, if your watching someone else do it.
